Honda celebrates Motorcycle Live with special-livery Fireblade at Silverstone

3 October 2014

Honda Racing’s Julien Da Costa will compete at the penultimate round of the 2014 British Superbike Championship at Silverstone this weekend aboard a special-livery CBR1000RR Fireblade celebrating Honda (UK)’s presence at the UK’s biggest bike show, Motorcycle Live.

The design is the second of three special BSB liveries planned for the 2014 season and follows the Urban Tiger tribute showcased by Da Costa at Snetterton and Donington Park earlier this year. The Frenchman is taking part in the development programme for the CBR1000RR Fireblade ahead of Honda’s planned full-time return to the British Superbike Championship in 2015.

The third special livery celebrates Motorcycle Live, which will take place at The NEC, Birmingham from 22-30 November. The show has become an annual pilgrimage for thousands of two-wheel fans and their families and this year, the Honda (UK) stand will be bigger and better than ever.

Alongside a showcase of the very latest machinery, including brand new and updated models for 2015, Honda will also be bringing a whole host of features to keep visitors of all ages entertained. The Honda Racing Café will make a welcome return as will the My First Licence feature, where children aged five to 11 can have a go on two wheels. There will also be regular Q&As and autograph sessions with Honda’s motorcycle racing stars, plus one or two special surprises still to be revealed!

Advance tickets for Motorcycle Live are on sale now priced at just £17 per adult, £11 for Seniors and £7 for children aged 11-16 (kids ten and under accompanied by a paying adult go free). To book, call 0844 581 2345 or visit www.motorcyclelive.co.uk.

The special-livery Honda Racing machine was unveiled during this morning’s free practice. Da Costa will compete in both BSB races on Sunday, while his Honda Racing team-mates Jason O’Halloran and Freddy Foray continue their Superstock 1000 campaigns.
