The CBR1000RR Fireblade carries less weight, makes more power and is packed with advanced electronics. And with state of the art software, it’s a package that delivers outstanding, adrenaline-soaked performance wherever you choose to ride.
The Fireblade puts you in charge of its awesome four-cylinder power and sharp-steering chassis with three pre-sets in the Riding Mode Select System (RMSS) and two rider-defined USER modes to manage the balance between Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), Selectable Engine Brake (SEB) and separate Wheelie Control. It’s intuitive to use and fully adjustable to suit your riding preferences—from easy-going to heart-pumping exhilarating.
There are three 'blades; it’s an impressive trio.

|CBR1000RR Fireblade SP||Equipped with semi-active Öhlins Step motor-type Electronic Control suspension, plus Honda Selectable Torque Control, Wheelie Control, Rear Lift Control, Selectable Engine Brake, new ABS, Quickshifter (with Downshift Assist), Riding Mode Select System and Power Selector. RC213V-S MotoGP derived technology elevates the riding experience even further.|
|CBR1000RR Fireblade SP2||A road legal homologation special, the CBR1000RR Fireblade SP2 is ready for race use with Marchesini wheels. The engine has a revised cylinder head: valves, combustion chambers and pistons–Racing Kits are available.|
The Fireblade’s advanced features work together to make it one very special motorcycle.
Central to the Fireblade’s incredible response, the RMSS puts you in charge of engine power and torque output. Plus rear wheel traction and handling dynamics from information gathered by a 5-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU).
HSTC offers nine levels of intervention to manage rear real traction. It’s been enhanced for circuit use and delivers smooth, uniform and precise control as it works through the corner exit, boosting confidence to accelerate even harder.
This function is now separate from HSTC to allow a high level of Wheelie Control with minimum HSTC input on a race track; this lets you manage rear wheel traction with the throttle without the fear of the front wheel rising too high. The wheel also lands smoothly.
The Fireblade was the first production Honda motorcycle to use TBW and its Acceleration Position Sensor (APS) was developed on the RC213V-S. The TBW motor now works faster for smoother deceleration and increased feel on corner entry; corner exit torque is also increased.
The radial-mount four-piston Tokico calipers are capable of incredible stopping power; for ultimate control, the ABS delivers effective braking in a straight line and into a corner. For high-speed circuit use, its intervention level has been reduced and outright performance improved.
As a machine built with a racer’s edge, the Fireblade goes from upright to full lean in a split second thanks to its compact wheelbase, light weight and sharp steering geometry. The HESD adjusts to manage front-end stability according to speed and lean angle.
The CBR1000RR Fireblade is available in two updated paint options; the Matt Ballistic Black option receives Silver highlights, while the iconic Grand Prix Red gains more defined white stripes on the upper fairing. Stealthy or stand out—you choose.
When it’s time for high-speed circuit action you’ll appreciate the Fireblade’s sleek, compact bodywork and perfect aerodynamics—it devours straights to hunt out fast, sweeping corners.
Peak power of 141kW @ 13,000rpm. Peak torque of 114Nm @ 11,000rpm. The Fireblade’s highly-tuned, 999cc DOHC four-cylinder engine features a stunning output – but one you can use. The Assist/Slipper Clutch eases upshifts and maintains control through rapid downshifts and hard braking. And magnesium engine covers – plus the 4-2-1 exhaust pipe with titanium muffler – save weight, aiding mass centralisation.
The Fireblade inspires you to push harder, deeper and faster. Power to weight is key to its incredible performance; more of the former, less of the latter. A full 15kg lighter than the previous design the Fireblade steers as fast as you can think. And because feel is so important, its hollow die-cast twin-spar aluminium frame has a rigidity balance, finely tuned to match the fully adjustable 43mm Showa Big Piston Fork (BPF) and Showa rear shock.
Each section of the Unit Pro-Link aluminium rear swingarm’s hybrid structure is carefully constructed to save weight, but also maintain transverse rigidity with increased torsional rigidity.
