1969 – Disc Brakes
The Honda CB750 was the world’s first mass-produced motorcycle equipped with a modern hydraulic disc brake.

1982 – Combined Braking System (CBS)
The CBS (combined braking system, or front and rear wheel linked brakes) are designed to activate the brakes on both wheels by operating only one side.

1992 – Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS)
The 1992 Honda ST1100A (Pan European) was the first Honda motorcycle to offer both ABS and Traction Control (TCS).

The IMU can detect bank angle, acceleration/deceleration, skidding, jumping and other conditions to activate traction control more precisely and amend suspension damping settings.

The 2018 Honda Forza 300 was the first Honda scooter to feature HSTC, which monitors rear wheel traction and manages torque, providing increased security on slippery surfaces.

The ESS is a system that reduces the possibility of being rear-ended by automatically and rapidly flashing the turn indicators on both sides to notify vehicles behind that the bike is conducting an emergency brake.
