High Oil Consumption Safety Recall

Honda Motor Co., Ltd. has identified a potential issue affecting a small number of motorcycles related to higher than expected oil consumption. As part of Honda’s ongoing commitment to safety, quality, and customer care, a safety recall was announced in December 2025.

To ensure the highest repair standards, Honda Motor Europe has implemented a carefully managed repair process using Approved Honda European Repair Centres located in the UK, France, Spain, Italy, Poland, and Netherlands. This centralised approach allows Honda specialists to carry out the necessary work in accordance with manufacturer quality standards with expert precision and consistency with final inspection conducted by a Quality Representative from the Honda production factory.

What do I need to do?

Simply contact your preferred Honda Retailer to arrange an appointment for necessary works to be completed.

What will happen to my motorcycle?

1. Book and drop off your motorcycle at your chosen Honda Retailer, where an inspection will be completed together with you.
2. Your retailer will notify the Authorised Repair Centre that your motorcycle is ready for collection.
3. Your motorcycle will be securely transported to the centralised Authorised Repair Centre.
4. The Safety Recall repair will be completed by Honda‑approved specialists.
5. Your motorcycle will be securely transported back to your Honda Retailer.
6. The Honda Retailer will contact you to arrange a convenient collection time to collect your motorcycle and continue enjoying the performance, reliability, and quality you expect from Honda.
