Honda’s bespoke S+ Shift technology has been developed to enhance your driving pleasure. This unique technology simulates virtual gear changes, combined with the instant electrified acceleration of a Honda full hybrid, giving you the responsiveness of a sports coupe while maintaining the efficiency of a hybrid.
Built for passionate drivers, S+ Shift selects the optimal gear and keeps the engine in its most efficient range for smooth, responsive performance. Paddle shifters on the steering wheel offer manual control, intensifying the experience with sharper shifts and performance-inspired engine sound.
Full hybrid powertrain
The Prelude features Honda’s next-generation e:HEV hybrid system, pairing a 2.0-litre engine with dual electric motors. In everyday driving, the electric motor powers the vehicle, while the petrol engine primarily acts as a generator to recharge the battery, eliminating the need to plug in.
It seamlessly switches between Electric, Hybrid, and Engine modes to deliver instant torque, smooth performance and outstanding efficiency.
Three drive modes
Three drive modes – each designed for different driving styles and conditions. The system adjusts various parameters, including powertrain, throttle response, steering feel, suspension settings and Adaptive Cruise Control.
