Advanced e:HEV powertrain

Honda’s next-generation e:HEV hybrid system intelligently combines a 1.5-litre petrol engine with two electric motors and a lithium-ion battery, seamlessly switching between Electric, Hybrid and Engine Drive for smooth, efficient performance.

e:HEV full hybrid performance

The Jazz is self-charging, using a combination of two electric motors, a petrol engine and a regenerative braking system to top-up the EV battery on the go with no need to plug-in. Unlike a mild hybrid, it can run solely on electric power – with instant acceleration from a standstill, just like an electric vehicle.
