Honda’s 2030 Vision
Honda’s global 2030 Vision sets out its aim to serve people worldwide with the “joy of expanding their life’s potential.” In Europe, this vision supports our efforts to advance mobility, respond to changing customer and societal expectations, and contribute to the transition towards a lower-carbon society.
At the heart of this vision is Honda’s commitment to providing high-quality products and services that meet diverse individual needs, while supporting progress in areas such as environmental responsibility, safety and social contribution.
Triple Action to ZERO by 2050
Honda is working towards its global ambition to achieve carbon neutrality across all products and corporate activities by 2050, while supporting the transition towards a circular resource society.
Through its Triple Action to Zero framework, Honda focuses on three interconnected areas: carbon neutrality, clean energy and resource circulation. Within this framework, “clean energy” refers to Honda’s efforts to increase the use of lower-carbon and renewable energy solutions across products, operations and wider corporate activities, where feasible.
Together, these priorities guide Honda’s efforts to reduce environmental impact across the product life cycle, including the use of energy and natural resources in products, production and corporate activities.
In Europe, this framework supports Honda Motor Europe’s approach to sustainability, helping shape initiatives across operations, logistics, product development and resource efficiency.
Honda’s Electrified Product Strategy
In Europe, Honda’s mainstream automobile range is now electrified, with hybrid-electric technology playing an important role in helping customers reduce tailpipe emissions compared to conventional petrol vehicles while maintaining the flexibility and driving experience they expect.
Honda continues to develop both hybrid-electric and battery-electric technologies as part of its wider global long-term ambition to work towards carbon neutrality across all products and corporate activities by 2050. Reflecting changing market conditions and customer demand, Honda is strengthening its e:HEV hybrid-electric systems while continuing to prepare for future EV adoption through next-generation electric mobility products.
Honda is also expanding electrification across motorcycles. Following the launch of the EM1 e: and CUV e: in Europe, Honda has announced the WN7, its first fixed-battery electric naked motorcycle, as part of its broader aim for all motorcycle products to be carbon neutral during the 2040s.
