National Trust Working Holidays

Honda and The National Trust - at one with the environment

Each year thousands of volunteers, aged between 17 and 70, put on their boots and get back to the land to protect and conserve coastline and countryside, rebuild gardens and excavate ancient sites. All with the help of sponsorship from Honda (UK)

There are around 480 National Trust Working Holidays to choose from, each offering something a little more rewarding and challenging to do with your free time.

"Honda's slogan 'The Power of Dreams' encapsulates the creation of engineering solutions that are unconventional, long-term and in harmony with the environment. There is a natural synergy between the ecological principals of Honda and The National Trust, amply demonstrated by the great idea of working holidays, where your dreams power the conservation of our heritage."

National Gardens Scheme

Currently in its 77th year, the National Gardens Scheme has opened thousands of wonderful private gardens to an admiring public. Inspired by Elsie Wagg in 1927 the scheme has generated many millions of pounds to charitable causes including Macmillan Cancer Relief and Marie Curie Cancer Care. The Yellow Book is the bible for anyone wanting to be inspired by gardening and is available for all leading bookstores.

"Honda (UK) is a proud supporter of the National Gardens Scheme. As the world's largest engine manufacturer and with one of the widest ranges of powered gardening equipment, we have all the tools you'll ever need to experience the 'Power of Dreams' in your own garden. Congratulations to everyone involved with this worthiest of causes. Long may the NGS prosper and long may the public dream about their perfect garden."
