Win a Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) Course for You and Your Friend

Terms and Conditions 

1. THE PRIZE  

1.1. The prize is a Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) course for 2 people, to be taken at Honda School of Motoring dealership or a Honda Training School.

1.2. The CBT course must be taken by 31 st August 2025. A provisional driving licence shall be required for those taking
part.

1.3. Prize specification may be subject to change. In the event that the prize is unavailable the substitute prize shall be of equal or higher value. There is no cash alternative. The prize is not negotiable or transferable.

2. HOW TO ENTER

2.1. The competition will run until 23.59 on Saturday 31 st August 2024 inclusive (the “Closing Date”). Entries received after the Closing Date will not be accepted and you will not be entered into the competition.

2.2. You can only enter the competition by Liking & tagging a friend on HondaUKMotorcycles Social Media post on Instagram. If you have any questions about how to enter or in connection with the prize draw, please e-mail us at

2.3. The Promoter, at its sole discretion, has the right to delete Prize Draw entries that contain any offensive or inappropriate content and remove from the Promoter’s Instagram post and disqualified the entry at any time.

2.4. The Promoter shall not be liable for Prize Draw entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind.

3. ELIGIBILITY  

3.1. The Prize Draw is open to residents of the UK aged 18 years or over, except for (a) to (c) below:

(a) employees, of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies;
(b) employees of agents or suppliers of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the Prize Draw or its administration; or
(c) members of the immediate families or households of (a) and (b) above.

3.2. The Promoter will not accept Prize Draw entries that are:

(a) automatically generated by computer;
(b) completed by third parties or in bulk;
(c) illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with; or
(d) incomplete.

3.3. There is a limit of one entry per person. No purchase is necessary.

3.4. The Promoter may require proof that you are eligible to enter the Prize Draw.

3.5. The Promoter reserves the right to exclude from the Prize Draw any entrant, who in the Promoter’s sole discretion, has breached these terms and conditions or whose conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the Prize Draw.

3.6. By entering the Prize Draw, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and agree to be bound by these terms and
conditions.

4. WINNERS  

4.1. The winner shall be randomly selected from all eligible entrants on Monday 1 st September 2024. The decision of the Promoter is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.

4.2. The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to contact the Winner by Instagram direct message as soon as practicable after the Closing Date. The promoter will attempt to contact the winner at least 3 times and the winner must acknowledge the notification before 16.00 on Friday 5 th September 2024 in order to claim the prize. If the prize is unclaimed after reasonable efforts have been made to contact the Winner, the Promoter reserves the right to award the prize to a replacement Winner, selected in the same way as the original winner.

4.3. The prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf and the Promoter does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.

5. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY  

5.1. The Promoter accepts no liability for any loss, damage, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant resulting from entering this Prize Draw or by the entrant's acceptance of any prize, or any damage to any entrant's or other person's computer or mobile phone equipment as a consequence of entering or downloading any material relating to this Prize Draw. Nothing shall exclude the Promoter's liability for death or personal injury resulting from its negligence.

6. DATA PROTECTION AND PUBLICITY  

6.1. Unless you expressly agree otherwise, the Promoter will only process your personal information as necessary for the purpose of administering the Prize Draw, and in accordance with the Honda Privacy Policy and the Honda privacy notice set out in the Schedule to these terms and conditions (“Honda Prize Draw Privacy Notice”).

6.2. The Honda Prize Draw Privacy Notice explains how and why the Promoter processes your personal data when you participate in the Prize Draw. The Honda Prize Draw Privacy Notice also describes your data protection rights in relation to the processing activities described in this clause, and how long we will retain your data. 6.3. The Promoter will collect the following personal data from all entrants:

(i) Instagram handle
And shall require the following personal data from the winner and the person accompanying them on the course:
(ii) First name and family name;
(iii) Email address; and
(iV) Home address.

6.4. The Promoter will process this personal data for the following legitimate interests:
(i) to check and ensure that you are eligible to participate in the Prize Draw; and
(ii) contact you if you have won; and
(iii) subject to Clause 6.5, to publish the surname of the Winner.

6.5 The Winner may request that their details are withheld from publication by emailing hondaeventsteam@honda-eu.com. Winner’s details shall be retained for a period of 12 months for verification purposes and provided to the
Advertising Standards Authority if required.

7. GENERAL

7.1. The decision of the Promoter is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

7.2. The Promoter is entitled to terminate or modify these terms and conditions at any time and upon giving notice, and reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the Prize Draw if, in the Promoter’s opinion, it becomes necessary to do so.

7.3. These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the parties submit to the
non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

7.5 This Prize Draw and the Promoter’s Instagram page(s) are not sponsored, endorsed nor administered by Instagram. By entering this Prize Draw, you release Instagram from all and any claims and liabilities which might arise in relation to this Prize Draw.
