Product Updates

Product Updates (PUDs) are not safety related but require action to avoid inconvenience. As technology improves, there may be instances where a manufacturer has developed new components or processes that will help to enhance the overall quality of a vehicle.

Product Updates are carried out in one of two ways depending on the nature of the update.

A letter is sent to the registered keeper requesting them to contact an authorised Honda dealer to arrange the appropriate action or repair.

Authorised Honda dealers are notified to act on the PUD when customers next attend the dealership. Level two updates are more minor in nature.

Recall

A Recall is announced if Honda has a concern about a potential safety-related defect, due to a vehicle feature, design or construction that is liable to cause significant risk of injury to the driver occupants, or other road users. In the event of a Recall, a letter is sent to the registered keeper of the vehicle requesting the owner to contact an authorised Honda dealer as a matter of urgency to arrange the appropriate repair or action.

All safety recalls have to comply with the VOSA code of practice.
