As the morning sun peeked over the horizon, the driveway bustled with a mix of excitement and a touch of nervous energy. The family Honda CR-V sat ready for the short but significant journey ahead.
Mum and Dad carefully loaded the final items into the spacious trunk - a small suitcase packed with essentials and Bubbles, a beloved teddy bear that would provide comfort on the little one's first night away from home.
The air buzzed with a mix of emotions that only such a milestone could bring. Mum double-checked the contents of the suitcase, a smile masking the slight twinge of anxiety she felt about her youngest spending a night away. Dad gave a reassuring nod as he shared the same feelings but he knew the adventure would be worth it. The CR-V sat in the driveway ready to handle whatever the day might bring - it was a part of the family, offering stability and comfort as they prepared for this big step forward.
Flexible boot space
The CR-V's has 617l boot space with the seats up. But can expand to 1710l with the seats down, creating a very generous storage space. The low load height also makes it easy for loading and offloading heavy items. The 60/40 rear sliding seats also makes the boot space more versatile.

The CR-V has our latest Honda SENSING driver assistance safety technology as standard. It includes Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), which stops you from an imminent collision, Lane Keeping Assist System, which keeps you in the lane, and Adaptive Cruise Control to keep you a safe distance from the car ahead.
On select grades, the new CR-V will feature our most cutting-edge safety system to date – the Honda SENSING 360. It extends the standard level of protection with two additional corner radars. Features include Active Lane Change Assist, which helps you change lanes effortlessly, and Front Cross Traffic Monitor, which helps you pull out of a driveway or junction safely using the wide range detection. It also extends the range of CMBS so your CR-V can detect hazards when going around corners.
Additional safety features include LaneWatch, which allows you to view your blind spot on the infotainment screen via a door mirror mounted camera, and Reverse Auto Tilt Mirror, which improves visibility when reversing.
As the CR-V rolled to a smooth stop in front of the scout hut, the daughter’s eyes lit up as she spotted her best friend. She unbuckled her seatbelt and leapt out of the car, her excitement overflowing as she smothered her friend in a big hug.
Mum and Dad followed, opening the trunk and carefully unpacking the suitcase, trying to keep their emotions in check as they prepared to say goodbye.
As they handed the bag to their daughter, Dad's eyes fell on the back seat. There, still securely strapped in, was the teddy bear that had almost been forgotten in the excitement. With a warm smile, he reached in, unbuckled the teddy, and handed it to his daughter. Her face lit up even more as she took it from him, clutching the soft toy close to her chest. It was the final piece she needed to feel ready for this adventure.
They all exchanged a few more hugs and whispered reassurances before Mum and Dad reluctantly returned to the car. As they drove away, waving out the window, they felt a bittersweet pride, knowing their little girl was growing up, but with the comfort that the CR-V would be there to bring her home when it was time.
