However, there are plenty of ways you can prepare and make sure both you and your bike are in the best possible shape for handling the cold. 

How much colder does it feel when riding on a motorbike?

Invest in riding gear that will protect you and dress in layers. Some bikes, including some Honda models, have heated grips and there are also heated gloves on the market.

You can also take a few basic steps to make sure your bike is ready for winter, examining the condition of the chain and the tyres and checking the tyre pressures.
