This list should be regarded as the absolute minimum to be performed. See your owners manual for individual machine requirements.

| Engine coolant liquid | Check levels, add if necessary |
| Lights/Horn | Check for correct operation |
| Brakes | Check for correct operation |
| Drive chain | Check for condition and slack, adjust if necessary |
| Tyres | Check condition, pressure and adjust |
| Throttle | Check for smooth operation in all steering positions |
| Engine stop switch | Check for proper function |
