Honda (UK) is further strengthening its comprehensive lawn mower line-up for 2010, with the addition of its first rough-cut mulching model for domestic and light-commercial users.

The robust HRS536 SDE ensures fast and effective cutting of areas of rough or long grass; ideal around orchards and trees, grass verges and driveways. Easy manoeuvrability is assured thanks to a compact design and the lightweight but durable (31.5kg) steel deck; while six cutting heights ranging from 24-87mm offer the flexibility to easily deal with a wide range of cuts and conditions.

The new model offers a 21" cut and an incredibly simple mulching capability; with the advantage of side-discharge to keep cuttings away from the operator and ensure better grass flow. Its ultra-reliable and efficient GCV160 OHC engine ensures a low running noise of just 98dB(A) and a smooth performance, whilst the automatic decompresser ensures an easy start.

Martin Moll, Head of Marketing for Honda (UK) Power Equipment

"A rough-cut model is a natural addition to the range, with many customers keeping rough or long grass areas; around trees and allotments for example. With our UM range aimed more at heavier commercial customers, the HRS536 SDE offers a perfect solution for the less demanding user – giving an excellent and fast rough cut on a wide range of terrain, but in a more lightweight package. The simple and effective mulching capability further adds to its appeal, ensuring a tidier cut with the benefits of applying mulch."

The HRS536 SDE enjoys a three year domestic and one year commercial warranty, and is available in limited numbers from March 2010 through Honda's specialist Lawn & Garden dealer network with an RRP of £530 inc. VAT.
