Where we lead, we need our suppliers to follow. Our commitment to protecting the environment in everything we do would be significantly weakened if our suppliers weren’t doing their bit too. This is why we only work with suppliers that are certified to an agreed and recognised environmental management standard.

Developing chemical guidelines

In 2007, new regulations were introduced for the Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals (REACH). We worked closely with other vehicle manufacturers to develop standardised guidelines for the automotive industry and have supported awareness seminars to help all our suppliers meet the new regulations.
