Civic wins Women's World Car of the Year award
The Women's World Car of the Year committee has named the new Civic their 2012 Economy Car category winner. Selected from an initial entry list of 300 cars, the Civic impressed the awards panel on a number of points including safety, value-for-money and aesthetic appearance.
Honda tops reliability poll for 7th year
Honda is the most reliable used car brand in the annual What Car? and Warranty Direct Reliability Survey for an unprecedented seventh year in a row. Honda cars are the least likely to leave passengers stranded by the roadside with just a one in 10 chance of models suffering a breakdown.
Jazz named Britain's Best Used Supermini
The British-built Jazz has been named Britain's Best Used Supermini in the annual Which? Car survey. The Jazz's class-leading space and versatility, proven reliability, outstanding safety rating and strong resale value saw it come top of a very tough category.
CR-V is Most Popular 4x4
The Honda CR-V has fought off fierce competition to be crowned Most Popular 4x4 by honestjohn.co.uk. When the expert motoring hub examined its stats, it found that the CR-V was the most searched for 4x4 on the site over the past 12 months.
Civic named overall winner
The Civic 1.4 i-VTEC SE has been named the overall winner and best in class in Parkers' New Car Awards 2012. The Civic was chosen as the overall winner on the basis that if offered more than any other in terms of value, practicality and equipment. NCAP Advanced reward for its Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) technology.
Maximum 5-star safety rating for new Civic
The new Honda Civic has been rated one of Europe's safest cars in the independent crash testing results from Euro NCAP. Receiving the maximum 5-star rating, the Civic also picked up a Euro NCAP Advanced reward for its Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) technology.
Jazz Hybrid is Eco cars winner
The Honda Jazz 1.3 IMA HE Hybrid CVT was praised by Parkers' for its low running costs. 'The advanced hybrid technology, unique small-car appeal and excellent practicality puts it well ahead of the other eco cars.'
Honda highest-placed volume maker
Honda retained the number two spot in the overall league table for the 2011 JD Power Vehicle Ownership Satisfaction Survey – the highest-placed volume manufacturer. "We strive to make every second of Honda ownership an enjoyable experience, and that means looking after our drivers throughout their use of our cars," commented Dave Hodgetts, Managing Director, Honda (UK).
Honda most reliable UK car maker
For an unprecedented sixth year in a row, Honda has topped this survey thanks to an impressively-low 9 per cent failure rate in the first 12 months. Honda also dominated the top of the SUV table, with the HR-V and CR-V at number one and two.
Accord tops family car category
For the second year running, the Honda Accord topped the chart in the family car category of the JD Power Vehicle Ownership Satisfaction Study.
Jazz tops Supermini car category
For the eighth year running, the Honda Jazz topped the chart in the Supermini car category of the JD Power Vehicle Ownership Satisfaction Study.

CR-Z crowned Green Car of the Year
The CRZ's blend of sporty looks, agile handling and good fuel efficiency allowed it to deal with the bustling back streets of the Third Ring district in China to win over the judges at Top Gear. "Of all the cars we brought to China, CR-Z is far and away the one I feel most at home with – and most excited about," said the magazine.
CR-Z crowned Eco Gadget of the Year
Here's what Fraser MacDonald, editor-in-chief at Stuff magazine had to say about their decision to award the CR-Z 'Eco Gadget of the Year': "The Honda CR-Z looks great, and it feels great to be in. It's also relatively small and light, so – for an unethical minute or two – hit the 'Power' button and work the manual gearbox, and it'll go like a little rocket.".
The CR-Z is Japan Car of the Year
Honda is now officially the most successful manufacturer in 'Japan Car of the Year' history, having just won the prestigious award for the eleventh time with the CR-Z. Takanobu Ito, President and CEO of Honda Motor, says: "This award shows that the public has accepted Honda's aspiration to supply exceptional environmental performance in a fun-to-drive hybrid car."
CR-Z: Most Economic & Environment Friendly Sports HEV
We began the Brighton to London Future Car Challenge with two CR-Z cars and an FCX Clarity, and finished with an award for the Most Economic & Environment Friendly Sports Hybrid Electric Vehicle – an accolade virtually tailor-made for the CR-Z.

For the fifth year in a row, the Jazz has come first in its class in the 2010 JD Power Vehicle Ownership Satisfaction Study – and has this year also come third in overall model ranking. For Honda it was another great year, reclaiming second place overall in the survey and high scores across all four categories.
