Can driving be more relaxed? Less of an effort?
Our radars think so. Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) keeps an eye on the road ahead and uses visual, audio and physical warnings to alert you to the possibility of a dangerous situation. Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) automatically adjusts your speed, so you always keep a consistent distance to the car in front. Lane Keeping Assist (LKAS) detects if you’ve drifted out of your lane and adjusts your position accordingly. And Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) makes continual adjustments to keep you exactly where you should be.

So we’ve put a radar in the front grille to keep an eye on the road ahead. Not only can ACC maintain a set speed, but it also automatically regulates the speed and the distance to the car in front. Which means you have a more relaxing and safer drive.

Wouldn’t we bump into things less?
We thought so too, so we developed CMBS. It helps alert you to an impending collision or – if it’s unavoidable - to make it less severe. A radar signal and return echo frequency works out the distance and closing speed to the car in front of you. So if you’re getting too close, too fast, you’ll see a flashing indicator and hear a warning beep. Then your seat belt will be automatically tightened and the brakes will be lightly applied. And if no avoidance action has been taken, the seat belts will be pulled back tightly and the brakes applied strongly.
Lane Keeping Assist System

Especially when they can be picked up by a camera mounted behind the windscreen. LKAS picks up the lane boundaries and then adjusts the steering torque to keep you right in the centre of the lane. And, just in case you’re too far over the markings, we thought a little beep would remind you to get back on course.
Vehicle Stability Assist
We can’t help helping. Even when you don’t notice it.
That’s why we put a system in place that pays attention to every aspect of how the car is handling and driving. VSA is a traction control system that works out the exact amount of power, brake-force and tyre grip needed to prevent skidding and keep you in control at all times. The response is so quick you might not even be aware it’s happened.
