What can I expect from Bladeday2?
Everything Fireblade! There will be a number of Blades on display, starting from the very first Blade in 1992. A great day out with stunt shows, entertainment, competitions etc.
Will there be somewhere safe to leave my riding gear?
Yes, Riders for Health will be on site to look after your kit.
Are catering facilities available?
Yes, there will be a choice of hot and cold food available to purchase - sorry no alcohol.
Bladeday2 - which entrance do I use at Donington Park?
You will be directed to the Melbourne Entrance which is traditionally the entrance for the Sunday market. Watch out for the Bladeday2 signs!
Can I book tickets in advance for Bladeday2?
No, just simply arrive on the day and pay your £10 - remember cash only please.
I don't have a Fireblade, can I still visit Bladeday2?
Yes, any brand/model of bike is welcome on the day.
I've got a Fireblade, can I pre-register to go on track?
No, you must register on the day at the circuit and pay your £10, first come first served, gates open 9am.
I've not got a Fireblade, am I able to go on track?
Sorry, Fireblade owners only on track due to restricted numbers, after all it is Bladeday!
What time should I arrive for my track session?
You should plan to arrive 30 minutes prior to your sign on time. If you miss your sign-on then you may lose your place and money.
Is my Blade insured on track?
No, not usually - although not required to participate on the day we advise that you inform your insurer or arrange additional cover elsewhere.
What should I wear?
1 piece or 2 piece zip-together leathers (zip must connect trousers to jacket all the way round), gloves, boots and helmet, no training shoes!
What licence do I need?
Full motorcycle licence or ACU competition licence (or foreign equivalents). All licences will be checked at the sign on office, if you do not have a suitable licence you will not be allowed on circuit and no refund will be given.
Does my bike require an MOT test certificate to go on track?
No, the safety and suitability of your vehicle is your responsibility, the organisers reserve the right to remove any vehicle they consider to be in an unsafe condition from the circuit at any time - in this instance no refund will be given.
Can I take my friend/spouse/pillion on the track?
No.
Is there anywhere on site I can re-fuel my bike after I have been on the track?
There is a fuel station on site within the paddock area but there may be access restrictions, therefore we recommend you use Donington Services along the road.
What time can I visit Bladeday2?
Bladeday2 opens at 9am and finishes at 5pm.
What areas at Donington can we have access to?
Bladeday2 is located on the launch pad site (Melbourne Entrance) however it’s an open paddock for BSB set-up, so no problem to walk around and view the teams set-up.
